Mostly for fun, I tried re-reforging the first map of the prologue with better cinematics and now, well, now here we are. Pasqualini explains that "I was hyped beyond any imagination for Warcraft 3: Reforged and while the disappointment was there, I saw great potential in the art assets and in the few but key changes Blizzard made to the engine. RELATED: WoW World PvP Is Finally Fun Thanks To Dragonriding The modder has apparently spent the last several years working on Warcraft 3: Re-Reforged, a total overhaul which adds custom campaigns featuring reimagined maps and reworked cutscenes with playable sequences based around a "more roleplaying game style camera and mechanics,” all of which is completely in line with everything shown by developer Blizzard back in 2018. That would require an all new game.InsaneMonster is also known as Luca Pasqualini. However, if you knew anything at all about game development… you would know its 100% impossible for them to change the pathing at this point with the current engine. I know this because I have actually followed the development of this game very very closely. So I am confident in saying it wont change, because Activision isnt giving Blizzard the funds to work on WC3. Blizzard already confirmed 12 unit limit is not changing. I actually like coming up with creative and original ideas, not just trying to turn WC3 into SC2. Go check out the competitive section of the forums to see the real posts (not this newbies troll section of the forums) You say I want the game to be stale, but I have been on these forums for 2 years posting suggestions that all get ignored. See, I actually posted several times on other methods for improving the game, such as having pre-set control groups, which I think would be way more fun. But unlimited unit selection really isnt necessary because you rarely ever have over 12 units of the same type (except maybe flying machines) Personally, I honestly would be fine with them increasing the unit limit to 16 or 20, I think that would be fine. Maybe, hypothetically, they could possibly change the 12 unit limit after launch. Forcing the majority of people that want to play to have a bad time because a minority aren’t willing to adapt doesn’t make sense in my opinion. I think some people are afraid because they think movement would become garbage like in HotS, but didn’t play dota 2, which has very similar movement to WC3 (turn rates, body blocking, and surrounds), but way smoother. The number of people added that would come in and actually play the game and enjoy it would more than make up for any issues with “splitting the playerbase”. Have a “Reforged” matchmaking mode that has modern gameplay changes, and “Classic” that tries to preserve the original with useless melee units that can’t walk. If people are so concerned about ‘balance’ and whatever nonsense they’re attached to, then just add separate matchmaking. Big square clunky collision boxes, and pathfinding that is barely capable of navigating around fixed terrain. I played this game series since Tides of Darkness, but coming back to this game after modern games is just painful. I think he liked the game and its simplicity, but he kept complaining about how stupid units move and the bad controls with no Select Army button or anything. He played Age of Empires 3 and dota 2, so this game was easy for him. So I got my friend to pre-order last night and he learned the game really fast.
